Jakarta, June 25, 2026 – Universal BPR has once again achieved a significant milestone by receiving the Top 30 BPR 2026 Award at the DPD DKI Awards 2026. The award recognizes the bank's consistent business growth and its contribution to the development of Indonesia's rural banking industry.
The award was presented during the DPD DKI Awards 2026, held as part of the National Seminar and Regional Working Meeting (Rakerda) organized by PERBARINDO DPD DKI Jaya & Surrounding Areas. The event took place on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Trans Hotel Jakarta, Cibubur.
This year's seminar carried the theme, "Indonesia's Criminal Law Transformation: Challenges and Strategies for Implementing the New Criminal Code in Banking Operations." The event provided banking industry professionals with insights into the legal and operational implications of the new Criminal Code for the banking sector.
During the event, the award was presented to rural banks (BPRs) recognized for demonstrating healthy business growth, sound corporate governance, effective risk management, and meaningful contributions to the advancement of the banking industry.
Strong Financial Performance
This achievement was supported by Universal BPR's strong financial performance throughout 2025, reflected in positive growth across key financial indicators. By the end of 2025, the bank recorded total assets of IDR 2.292 trillion and net profit of IDR 35.913 billion.
In terms of profitability, Universal BPR achieved a Return on Equity (ROE) of 21.19%, demonstrating the company's ability to generate strong returns on shareholders' equity.
Meanwhile, the bank maintained healthy credit quality, recording a Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio of 3.93%, well below the regulatory threshold of 5%.
These achievements reflect Universal BPR's consistent implementation of prudent banking practices. The bank also continues to strengthen its risk management framework while enhancing service quality for its customers.
